Fort Scott High School Soccer Fields at Ellis Park
This winter we provided funding for the scorekeeper's box, bleachers, team benches, and temporary manual flip scoreboard. We have applied for the District Simplified Grant to help purchase a $4,100 electronic scoreboard for the soccer field.

Fort Scott Community College Danny & Willa Ellis Fine Arts Center
The Fort Scott Rotary Club will be recognized on the Fine Arts Center "Wall of Honor" for our contribution to the center. The center is currently under construction and everyone is hoping that it will be completed by October of 2009. (Just in time for the annual Gordon Parks Festival!)
Dictionary Project
Rotary sponosored our 5th Annual Dictionary Project, where we presented 193 dictionaries to 3rd Grade Students in 6 Schools and 2 School districts in Bourbon County. We also gave an additional 21 dictionaries to school teachers and libraries.
Eyeglass Project
Rotarians have donated old eyeglasses and reading glasses to be refurbished and provided to those in need locally and abroad.
Rotary Foundation
Past President Gary Palmer organized, Lead the Way with 50 Cents A Day, after his term he hosted a Break the Bank Party. (Rotarians placed money, mainly coins, in a large glass jar.) This campagin raised well over $5,000.00, to be put towards the Rotary Foundation.
